Ideas to enjoy the Panini Grill even more!

Veggies that go well in the grill:

Asparagus - mushrooms - zucchini - thin slices of eggplant - French beans - this slices of squash - thin slices of potatoes - onions - garlic with the peel - pepper - celery - mini corn - carrots - broccoli - cauliflower

Some veggies grill much faster than others. It would be a good idea to put them in the grill by groups according to their softness. For example: mushrooms and asparagus tips grill faster than the asparagus stem. Add them a few minutes later. If something is done much sooner than you had imagined, just return it to the grill for a couple of minutes with the remainder of the veggies before serving.

Spray olive oil or butter in your food, not on the grill

Desserts:

Grill banana in the peel until soft to the touch, which takes around 15 minutes. Then make a cut along the peel and take out the fruit. Sprinkle with cinnamon sugar and add a scoop of vanilla ice cream to have a superb dessert

Peaches, apples and pears (not too soft) grill really well. They call always be served with ice cream

French Toast works really well in the Panini grill too and you are avoiding extra fat intake

Sandwich ideas:

Squeeze garlic into some olive oil or butter. Spread over the bread (preferably ciabatta) and grill it. Assemble your sandwich with the garlic side inside of it.

Cheeses melt marvelously in the grill and kind of glue the bread together. If you want to add some fresh veggie later (arugula or tomato), you may just cut the sandwich to open it

Hamburger, chicken and fish sandwiches are great options also. You can marinate your meat or poultry or fish before grilling. You don't need to pat them dry, but it's good to let the excess of marinating drip before putting the food in the grill

Bacon turns out very nice also. It grills evenly because it’s kept flat with the weight of the lid

Other ingredients that are delicious in your Panini grill: pesto, smoked salmon, goat cheese, basil, artichoke hearts, roast beef, Portobello mushroom, prosciutto
